As Head of Nutrition at Thrive, Kah Onn educates the coaching team, ensuring Thrive clients receive top-notch guidance on all things nutrition and health.

A self-proclaimed nutrition nerd armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Kah Onn makes understanding nutrition easy for our clients. His advocacy for sustainable change not only delivers outstanding results but fosters a healthier, happier experience for his clients.

Kah Onn's mission is to simplify health, training, and lifestyle approaches, inspiring clients to make better choices today that have a lasting impact. With hands-on experience in powerlifting competitions, he also makes sure you feel confident stepping into the gym, knowing you're in good hands.

    I love that Thrive is so focused on continued learning, you can tell they have trainers, who genuinely care, and put a lot of thought and consideration into their programs. Often I've asked Kah Onn why he has chosen certain exercises and am always impressed with his rationale. I appreciate the intentionality that goes into the program and how it aligns with my goals.

    Kah Onn focuses on progression but never at the expense of form or safety. I feel challenged, but also that I am in safe hands.
    Our training sessions are always fun too, we share an appreciation for bad jokes and good banter, which helps with the pain of regularly scheduled bulgarian split squats :)

    It's a journey, not a destination and I am happy to be on this journey with Kah Onn, Matt and the rest of the Thrive squad.

  • I trained with Kah Onn for almost 9 months with the goal of adding weight training to my fitness routine after hitting the age of 40. Before I signed up with Kah Onn / Thrive, I did multiple trial sessions with a few gyms. What I liked most about Kah Onn was that he really understood my goals and customized the exercise to that. Also, after his trial session, I didn't feel any kind of soreness even though it was an intense workout session.

    Overall, I had a very good experience with Kah Onn. He kept increasing the intensity / weight of workouts in a manner that stretched me, but also not cause any injury. He would always follow-up to check in, especially after a tough workout. It's quite easy to work with him, with good conversations and tips throughout the session as well.
